Known as a sharpshooter, Wiginton is an all around competitor who has a knack for making an impact in the clutch for the Tigers. After clutch shooting helped a critical District win vs Edmond North, it was a Wiginton defensive play that changed the game for BA. The Tigers were on a run in the final frame and had cut it to one. It was the senior’s backcourt pressure which forced a steal, then she quickly scored to give them their first lead of the second half. A lead they would not give up.

Shooters have to have short memories, Wiginton was a great example of that in the clutch. She missed a good look in the fourth, but seconds later after a tough offensive rebound, she got a second chance. And she drained a big three pointer that was critical in the hard earned win. Also contributed in the second half with a couple scores at the rim. Important depth piece for the loaded Tigers, who surely will have more big moments this year.

Another pure shooter, she was particularly on fire early on for TTY’s gold squad. The hot shooting led to a complete game for Wiginton. Crashed the glass, active and smart on defense. Including a nice sequence where she got the run out layup, then hustled back on defense and poked out a sloppy dribble from behind. The eastern Oklahoma standout is a newcomer to Broken Arrow this season and earlier this summer committed to OBU.
