The steady heartbeat for the Tigers was no different tonight. Always plays at her own speed, deceptive with her ability to switch gears, which gave her a good score early. Continues to be a great decision maker as a passer. Was quieter in the second half, but made one of the biggest plays when she ran down a long offensive rebound, and kicked it to a teammate for a huge three. Type of point guard that true hoop heads will appreciate watch work and impact the game in a variety of ways.

Headed to Missouri Science and Technology, Marraccini is a heady lead guard who seemingly always makes the right decisions on the court. Capable of pushing the tempo while always under control, head on a swivel to make plays for others and rarely turning it over. When needed, she can pop off a crucial bucket or two. But it’s clear she thrives and relishes the traditional point guard role of creating for her teammates.

Game Watched: vs Choctaw, January 30th
The junior point guard is advantage creator, especially in transition. She pushes the tempo off long rebounds or turnovers with her head on a swivel to find teammates or openings to attack herself. Most often, it’s about setting up her teammates with quality finds. But in the game, she showed enough scoring punch to be accounted for. Including a nice score when her team’s star scorer was facing a “Box and 1”. Marraccini split the top of the box, then came to a good two foot stop and hit a floater over the two defenders at the bottom of the box.

Macy is another player who has played a lot of basketball for school and club teams and now, as a junior, is looking to take over and run things. She is a very calm, controlled, point guard and looks like she will most likely be the floor general that Coach Coffey needs on this squad. That’s not to say she is strictly a passer, either. She showed during Thursday’s scrimmage at Sapulpa that she can most definitely shoot it and is unafraid to drive in to traffic and finish. Add in the fact that she is a tenacious on-ball defender and you’ve got one heck of a starting PG and one heck of a prospect!

from the 17U squad who is committed to Nebraska and hung in there extremely well. She showed me something that I love to see when I’m out scouting and I know college coaches do too. After the first “quarter” of scrimmaging, her coach got onto her about something. She didn’t react negatively. She didn’t get down. She nodded. She looked the coach in the eye. She took the criticism. Then she went out and absolutely killed it on offense and defense. The next stoppage in play, Coach used her as the example. Now THAT is a kid you want on your team!

One of the up and coming point guards in the state of Oklahoma. She is savvy with the ball in her hands and operates at the lead guard position at the highest level. Shifty handles but remains under control with her head up directing traffic and leading her team. She is a player that thrives when attacking the basket – finishes at the rim, a floater over the defense, and pulling up in open space for the jump shot. She sees the floor really well and distributes the ball fairly to teammates. She shoots the outside shot at a high level and she continues to improve and get better.

Macy Marracinni: smooth point guard that controls the pace of the game and gets her team involved, floor general. Quick hands on defense, toughness, and has the relentless mindset to attack the basket and finish at the rim, even through traffic. She is usually facilitating but she is good on the perimeter and can shoot the heck out the ball when it matters.

Macy is a savvy point guard that plays under control and with confidence. She plays with her head up and can find the open teammate. Defensively she is active and isn’t afraid to guard. She rotates and has quick instincts on and off the ball. What makes Macy special is her unselfishness and her shooting ability. She will hit big shot after big shot and does it consistently. Definitely an underrated point guard that has been working on her game. This year she will be starting at the point guard at Broken Arrow High School – this decision instantly has made the Tigers a better team and should be respected as a contender at the 6A level.
