About Katherine

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Hi basketball IQ, ability to score all all three levels, intense defender with good anticipation. I see the court well and always look to make the right player. Full team player that wants to get better and win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Tough. I don't let anything rattle me. I am focused and like to be a rock for my team. I have a tireless work ethic and watch a lot of film.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Habitat for Humanity (Member) Hinsdale Inferno Junior Board (Vice President) Model United Nations Dean's List Guitar Club

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership, strong work ethic, great communication skills, community service, teamwork throughout my high school career so far. I have gotten involved in activities that impact my community which have allowed me to mature in my view of the world. Also, I take my off season seriously which has allowed me to become the leader within my basketball program to set the standard.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During my sophomore year on varsity basketball our coaches resigned in the middle of the season. This was a shock to my teammates and me. This brought us together and through it I learned that focusing on the goal of staying together as a team during tough times is important and if we you stay focused on the goal and are there for your teammates you can get through anything.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that is a great academic fit with a vibrant culture and a basketball program that wants to compete and keep getting better.
