About Katie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to play fast, I look for the three a lot but am very capable of driving. I look to score fast and out run the other team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very determined and competitive in everything, but especially in sports. I always strive to be the best, i do not like to lose. my team and the people around me are always a priority above my self. Everything I do I do for the glory of God.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a three year member in Student council. I am in many organizations in my community such as junior auxiliary, and junior town and country gals. I am on the A honor roll.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a leader I have learned how to make everyone better around me while making myself better. I have also learned that being together is key to any success. In everything, in sports or out when i have worked well with teammates or friends good always comes out of it.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge I have faced is my father suffers with an addiction and left my life a couple years back. To get through it I had to learn to lean on my mom and my sister, and it taught me to be strong and resilient.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college where I can get a business degree. I am looking for a team atmosphere where God is prioritized and team success is more important than individual. I am looking for a college who is more like family than just a team.

Katie was one of the more vocal players at the combine, which showed great leadership.  She was able to effectively communicate offensively and defensively.  She did a good job of ‘stunting and recovering’ on drives.  She was good in ball-screen action, changing pace and creating offensive opportunities.
