About Kayla

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a high-IQ, team-first player who takes pride in my defensive intensity and ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, I use my court vision and feel for the game to make smart, unselfish decisions that create opportunities for my teammates. My goal is always to make those around me better and do whatever it takes to help my team succeed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I don’t have an off switch—I give 100% every time I step on the court. I’m a fierce competitor who plays with intensity and passion, but I also believe strongly in sportsmanship and respect for the game, my teammates, and my opponents. I compete hard, carry myself the right way, and take pride in representing my team with both toughness and integrity.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I also play Varsity Lacrosse (Defense) and received the Loyal BG Athlete Award for Lacrosse (2025 season)

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I lead by example on and off the court with my energy and work ethic. Being named a team captain as a sophomore meant a lot to me, and I always try to be my teammates’ biggest supporter, whether I’m on the court or cheering from the bench. I also enjoy giving back by volunteering at k-8 basketball camps and helping with the feeder program, supporting younger players and staying connected the game.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have been blessed and not faced any significant challenges so far.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will challenge me academically and has a strong sense of school spirit and alumni base.
