is not only the best center in the 2026 class, but she is the best in the entire state of Arkansas. She holds multiple Division I offers, and she is ready for a monster senior season with Mansfield.
Ward is extremely hard to guard on the block. She uses her strength to back down the defense under the basket, then she uses her great footwork to maneuver her way around. Ward is a great finisher, so good contests don’t bother her much.
In addition to being a great offensive player, Ward can rebound at a high level. With her 6’3″ frame, she towers over the competition, but she has excellent instincts on the glass, able to grab every board in her sight. She is also a phenomenal defender, proven to be a legitimate rim protector.

cannot be kept out of the conversation for the top-3 in the 2026 class. After a dominant junior season with Mansfield, she is ready to do it again in her final year of high school basketball.
Ward recently picked up offers from Stephen F. Austin, Oral Roberts, and North Texas. She also has offers from Power 4 schools such as Colorado, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, and Arkansas.
On the offensive end, Ward is great with her back to the basket, using her excellent footwork to get around the defense and score inside. On the other end, she is an incredible rim protector, locking down the paint. If a shot gets past her, she will pull down the miss, as she was a threat to log a double-double seemingly every night.

First time seeing Kaylee play and I now know why she is ranked so high not only in her position but in the state. Great size that is a force on the defensive end. Great understanding of when to go for the block or just wall up. Excellent defensive rebounder that holds the blockout until the ball came off the rim.
On offense watched her perform a perfectly executed rocker move finishing with a drop step spin move. Gets out and runs the court on breaks. At time on a break I thought I was going to rise up and dunk.

The 3A-4 is loaded with top-tier talent, so it was hard to choose which potential x-factor I should talk about. Despite that, I had to give the nod to the #2 player in the class of 2026,

Ward has been absolutely dominant this season for Mansfield and colleges are taking notice. Arkansas State and Penn are just a couple of schools to offer Ward recently, and they are loving her play on both ends of the floor.
Mansfield’s superstar has been on a roll as of late, logging 30 points, 18 rebounds, and 7 blocks against Lavaca on February 11th. Mid-way through January, Ward was averaging 14.0 points, 9.7 rebounds, and a ridiculous 4.7 blocks per game.
Ward can block shots at one end, while knocking down interior looks at the other. She is tough to stop when she is backing down the defender on the block. Ward can be that old-school center who relies on her strength, footwork, and touch down low to score. However, the junior has shown consistency stretching her game out, hitting jumpers if she is given the space.
Mansfield was 11-3 in conference play this season, finishing 2nd in the 3A-4. Their great play is mostly credited to Ward’s play this season, and if they want to make some noise this postseason, she needs to be her usual dominant self and lead this team that features a plethora of freshmen.

Though Mansfield was not able to pull out a victory in overtime against Alma on Tuesday,

did whatever she could to carry her team to a near victory. Ward is widely regarded as one of the top players in the state, and certainly one of the top players in her class and at her position. Ward’s triple-double performance on Tuesday was more evidence for that high ranking.
Ward poured in 36 points, grabbed 15 rebounds, and rejected 12 shots! Ward was 13/21 from the floor and was 10/11 from the free throw line. No one could stop her once she had position inside. Ward’s teammates would lob passes to her, and she kept the ball up and away from the Alma defenders. This allowed her to score inside without much defensive pressure. Ward could also shoot turn-around jumpers from just outside the paint, using the backboard to her advantage.
On the glass, Ward used that 6’3″-6’4″ frame and her long reach to grab every rebound in sight. She was also too strong for the defense, as they were not able to box her out. This all allowed her to be a monster on the offensive and defensive glass.
On the defensive side, Ward continued to use her height and wingspan to her advantage. She is a legitimate rim protector, but she does not have to jump as high as possible to get a finger on a shot. All she has to do is gain excellent position, keep her arms straight up, and the opposition is unable to shoot over her without Ward getting a paw on the ball.
Mansfield will continue to rely on

for consistent offense, defense, and rebounding. If she can continue to post the statlines similar to Tuesday’s game, Mansfield will start winning some games.
