About Kendall

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Im a standout junior point guard for the Athens Academy girls' varsity basketball team in Athens, Georgia. As of the 2025-26 season, I am recognized as one of the premier "floor generals" in the region, known for my dynamic scoring and defensive playmaking. According to scouting reports and coaches,, Im a "multilevel scorer" with a "killer handle". I am noted for my ability to create space with m

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Mentally I’m considered a high IQ player with the ability to read and respond to the action in front of me. My nickname on the bench is Coach K because I organize my team. I am a laid back person off the court and an intense competitor on it. My teammates feed of my intensity and my coach depends on me to set the tone.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was inducted into the National Honor society and Nation Spanish society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As the point guard I’ve made strong progress in my leadership role by learning the best ways to communicate with my team. Being more vocal in some moments while leading by example on other situations. I am active in my church community. I work with the media team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Overcoming an injury at the height of our season. I found other ways to contribute to my team by becoming an another coach on the staff while my body healed.

What type of college are you looking for?

Kendall hit several big shots to help propel Athens Academy to a win and trip to the region tournament championship game against a scrappy Providence squad. Lawson pulled up a few feet inside half court to beat the buzzer on one play and used her ball handing to create space and knock down a three while being fouled on another play. Lawson makes the defense work as she is in constant motion on the court trying to free herself and get the basketball. When she catches it, Lawson is very adept at getting all the way to the basket and scoring and is also a consistent, steady shooter from three point range.
