Then suddenly she hit a catch and shoot three. And the rim must’ve grew three sizes after that. Because she hit a deeper one shortly after. Following it up with a nasty stepback three. Threes and energy, what’s not to like?

Quick lead guard, who can string together makes in a hurry. Has impressed multiple PGH writers over recent years. Which checks out as she’s been a four year contributor in the Class 6A for Yukon. Along with the ability to get hot from deep, is energetic and tough on defense. Quarterbacks the pressure defense of a younger, but fun and intense Millerette roster. Energy and perimeter shooting are often a good recipe for heart over height guards like Jefferson.

Point guard that caught fire in the game I watched knocking down three straight 3’s to start the game I watched. Quick release that is ready to shoot on the catch. Shifty handles that can weave her way in and out of the press. Good up the court vision that found the open player in transition. A guard that understands how to get to the rim and avoid the block shot. Tough defender on the ball that is always working for that five count call.

Feisty guard who impressed as a shooter and with quality quickness during Yukon’s run to Class 6A area. Showed deeper range as a shooter during those games. Her ability to torch the nets will be crucial as she steps into a bigger role as an upperclassmen on a Millerette team that looks to keep the positive momentum rolling. Look for Jefferson to be all action for Yukon.

A sparkplug of a player, Jefferson hit big jumpers throughout the contest. A couple of her three attempts were ruled twos, with her feet just on the line. But in the second half, she made she her threes were counted as threes with a DEEP one in the third. Then after a loose ball late in the third, she scooped it up and banked in an one legged runner that was also from behind the line . Along with her shooting from deep, Jefferson is an eager on the ball defender. In the first half, she was able to force a 5 second count with unrelenting pressure on the ball.
