I just read that Kenley will unfortunately miss this season due to an injury and I am really sorry to hear that news as Nelson County will sorely miss her. She is the Chargers best and most complete player and they will struggle to find ways to win games this season without her. She brings an ability to score, handle the ball, rebound, and play defense. Kenley is a solid athlete with good size for a guard. She possesses a good change of pace that allows her to get past opponents when driving to the basket. She has a nice soft floater that bounces nicely into the hoop. Kenley is a college potential recruit and I wish her the best in her recovery. I hope to see her on the court soon!

Kenley Blasey Kenley Blasey 5'9" | SF/PG Dakota Prairie | 2028 State ND has been playing varsity basketball since she was in eighth grade. She plays with the poise of a seasoned veteran and has high hopes heading into her final two seasons of varsity action. She is a good athlete and good-sized guard at 5’9. She seems to have an explosive first step and good jumping ability. She is able to time jumps correctly and block plenty of shots throughout the season. She is Nelson County’s primary scoring option and can get hot quickly from behind the arc. She had multiple games last season where she connected on multiple three point attempts, including 5 made three-pointers against North Prairie.

Blasey was Nelson County’s best player and only All-District selection.  There was a significant void in all facets of the game if she was taken off the floor for any reason.  She is her team’s primary ball handler, offensive initiator, and defensive specialist.  She often was tasked with defending opposing team’s best players.  She is a guard who isn’t afraid to post up and be physical by the basket.  She is good in their ball-screen actions.  She is a part of a team with no juniors or seniors, so she and her fellow sophomores have had to grow up fast and become leaders in their varsity program.
