Chalking up 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals, Spellman strived to keep her squad in the game on both ends of the ball. The 5’8 CG knows how to navigate past any defensive scheme and gets creative, scoring the rock from all three levels. This two-way star showcased her poise and confidence despite the close loss.

Kennedy enters the Centennial League this season bringing an added scoring punch for Eaglecrest. She is a player defenses cannot afford to leave at any point during the game. Her ability to heat up from three makes her a constant threat and a key piece in Eaglecrest’s offense.

Kennedy has the potential to be Eaglecrest’s leading scorer this season. She has proven time and time again that she can put the ball in the basket from anywhere on the floor no matter who’s guarding her. On defense she can sit down and lock up making her a reliable player on both ends.

A combo guard, Kennedy can score with or without the ball in her hands. She’s a knockdown shooter from anywhere on the court and has the ability to create her own shot at any point in the game. Her offensive versatility makes her a tough cover for any defense.

Kennedy looked more than ready to have a big senior year in her first action since last high school season. She shot the ball well both off the dribble and in spot-up situations, showing her range and confidence. Her awareness allowed her to find the right spots on the floor while being a defensive pest with multiple steals on inbound plays. Kennedy’s balance of scoring and defense proved she’s primed to lead her team.

In the matchup against Cal Sparks, Kennedy came to play having multiple big moments that helped her team win. She broke the backcourt pressure creating two-on-one opportunities by keeping her head up and finding teammates. In the half-court she controlled the offense and got to her spots with confidence, taking the shots she wanted or making the extra pass.

For the past three years, Kennedy has put up big offensive numbers, so there’s no question about her scoring abilities heading into her senior season. What makes this year different is that teams will look to force her into new situations. Which gives her the freedom to showcase her growing playmaking skills. With her ability to defend at a high level and adjust on the fly.

Kennedy has displayed her scoring abilities all season long, and Mountain Vista’s win over Rangeview was no different. She led her team with a game-high 20 points, once again proving her offensive prowess. As Mountain Vista enters the most important part of the season, Kennedy’s scoring will play a part in their success. Expect her and her team to be a tough matchup for anyone in the playoffs.
