Ward has the athleticism and mobility to allow her to excel in open space. Ward excels on the boards, using her size to create second-chance opportunities and easy putbacks. A team-oriented player, Ward plays an unselfish style of basketball and does a lot of the dirty work her team needs to win games. She has a big wingspan that allows her to contain guards on the perimeter. Ward plays a lot out of the high post and can hit jumpers and create enough separation for her to attack on dribble drives.
