is one of the best shooters in the 3A classification, but the opposition knew that. Though the junior struggled offensively, it did not stop her from finding other ways to make an impact.
An early lesson that I think most people learn when first playing basketball is that scoring is not everything. There are other aspects of the game that a player needs to have down. McCrotty only hit 1 3-pointer and finished with just 9 points, but her biggest impact was on the backboard. She finished the night with 11 rebounds.
The guard was better on the offensive glass, pulling down 6 boards and helping give her team some second-chance opportunities. This gave her some additional scoring opportunities as well, and she knocked down 3 field goals from inside the arch.

is an efficient scorer who is expected to be the go-to player next season. Everyone knows she can shoot from outside, but she proved that if she is not connecting from long range, she can make an impact in other areas of the game.

averaged 16.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 2.3 steals per game during the regular season. She solidifyed herself as one of the best players in the 2026 class and in 3A. Last night, she surpassed her scoring average in the first round against Centerpoint.
McCrotty put up 20 points in the first game of the playoffs, shooting 66% from the field. McCrotty is a solid outside shooter, but she did a fair amount of damage inside. If the junior was not able to finish through traffic, she was probably getting fouled, as she shot 6/7 from the line.

is another player who has been a primary scorer for the Lady Pirates since she was a freshman. Once again, the guard impresses on the court in her third year on varsity.
McCrotty is one of the best 3-point shooters in the state. She has knocked down 42 triples on a career-high 45% clip. She is capable of lighting up the scoreboard whenever she has a look from long-range. Her quick release is tough to stop along the perimeter, but she is dangerous on the move as well.
McCrotty averages 15.8 points per game while shooting a highly efficient 53% from the field. If she cannot finish at the basket, then she was probably fouled. The junior makes 90% of her free throws and could be one of the few players in the high school ranks to join the 50-40-90 club if she keeps up this play.

also averages 1.8 steals per game, showing her worth on the defensive end. The Pirates will be needing her efficiency in the playoffs.

, Kenzie was the leading scorer for Dover last year dropping in 19.4pts and 5.5 rebounds a game. This lefty leaves defenses boggled as she can spot up from three or create off the dribble. She hit five 3’s in one contest and 3 more versus Lamar. Having game highs of 33, and 28 proves she is a ” Walking Bucket. She has next level ability and can score at will. Her IQ is very good and will only get better. Pushing herself to strengthen other parts of her game is a natural process she should embrace. McCrotty has range and can consistently drain them from way beyond the mark. As a frosh she was called upon and delivered a solid performance finishing with 13.3pts a game. She has experience and grit and that will be key to her success this year. 24-25 season will be huge for this junior guard. I see this one starting out next year as one the state’s premier guards in her class.
