Nohr has some impressive range from behind the arc, but she also has the touch to hit from different levels closer in and has great feet to set her shot up quickly and get balanced whether she’s coming off screens or getting set off the bounce. She’s also a hustler on the glass and is able to get up in passing lanes both in the half court and in transition to get some deflections and slow down opposing offenses.

Kessa is another great piece of Sumner’s backcourt who can play very well on both ends of the court. She has a tremendous catch and shoot jumper, knocking down multiple threes in this game including one to give Sumner the lead right before halftime. She also plays very solid perimeter defense against some quick Garfield guards. An unselfish player that played very well in this game.

Kessa should see a bigger role come her way on the team and I think she will shine in a higher production role. She gets down-hill well with either hand and is able to stop on a dime and knock down jumpers. She runs the court well in transition, finishing around the rim at a high percentage. She is poised for a big season.

She didn’t get a ton of opportunities but was spot on when the ball came her way. She has a pretty shot and drained several threes. She also made some key passes, finding some tight windows for assists and was ready to step up on the perimeter to defend at a high level.

Kessa has great length and uses it to her advantage on the court. She hustles hard every play, always going 100% and doing all the little things extremely efficiently. She can play inside or outside, filling whatever her team needs. Given her always hustling, she is a great rebounder for the SG position. Nohr has a great deep shot and knocks down shots smoothly when defenders are being lazy.

Kessa was the 3rd player selected to the all tournament team for Sumner after they won it. She has a role and that would be to knock down open threes. However, she was a consistent player on the perimeter, helping out with some of the ball handling when Collins would get a lot of attention. Kessa did fine, and the is a bit more athletic than you may think. She hit some deep threes, some mid-range shots with a soft touch. She isn’t a bad 3rd option and has shown improvements in being more than just a knock down shooter. Rebounds were part of how she was able to help out too. She’ll need to help out when teams apply pressure on Collins and she did in the tournament. An important piece if Sumner wants a shot at being a state tournament contender. Kessa is a key role player for Summer, providing a spark on the defensive side and an elite deep shot on the offensive side. Nohr can light up any team on any given night, especially if she is left open and in the groove. Her length helps her on the defensive side cause turnovers and rebound the ball well. She will have an even bigger role next year.
