About Khia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am defensive-minded facilitator. I see myself as a floor general/manager, who is able to create shots and opportunities for myself and others. I am a true point guard, who can shoot.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am team-oriented, goal focused, and disciplined competitor. I'm mentally tough and able to adapt quickly.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National Honors Scholar National Honor Society School Chapter Beta Club FAITH Organization

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've been a part of a winning culture, with my High School team and AAU. Ive played for championship coaches and with All Americans and top player, so I've learned how to work with different personalities and egos.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As the starting point guard, I lead my high school team to the state championship game. I know what it takes to win, and to work hard and still fall just short of the goal. This was a horrible feeling and each day, I think about how to improve my skills, on and off the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that has a winning culture or is building a winning culture, with a coach who has an open communication style and committed to excellence. As a scholar student, academics is very important to me. I'm looking for a coach and professors, who share my view.
