was moving well on defense jumping in front of passes leading to turnovers for her team. She had some tough takes to the basket, and she found her open teammates inside hitting them in stride. She had a nice old fashioned three point play to close out the game and officially seal the victory for her team.

was driving hard to the basket making it count off the glass, or she found her open teammate dishing it to them for the open look. She was doing well attacking the basket battling some tough contact, and she showed off her jumper as well. She’s tough on defense being able to grab the steal and take it the other direction.

Thompson is an outstanding three-point shooter. She has tremendous range from behind the three-point line and a pretty release. In any contest, Thompson can drain several three-point field goals for her squad. She is also a very good rebounder from the guard position. She attacks the offensive glass to score. Thompson will also collect a defensive rebound and lead the break with her head up. She is an unselfish player who wants to win.

Kloe Thompson is a competitor on the court. She competes on offense, she competes on defense, and she will make the best play for her team at all times. Thompson has a smooth outside shot and deep range from behind the three-point line. When she gets her feet set on the perimeter, there is a great chance the basketball is going through the hoop for Team United.

had a nice play pushing the tempo getting the ball up the court and stopping on a dime to hit the transition jumper. She has a nice shot from deep being able to pull up quickly off the pass to knock it down. You can see how athletic she is with the way she jumps in front of passes and deflects the ball being a nuisance on defense. Her on ball defense is tough stripping it away from her opponents and protecting any path to the basket.

Khloe Thompson is tough athlete on both ends of the court, too, and she had an exceptional state championship game with Cannon that she’s taking with her into this travel season. She is a tenacious defender always finding ways to impact plays whether she is knocking the ball away from her opponents or she’s stripping the ball away from guards trying to dribble by her. She’s a three level scorer on offense finding the openings or creating her own space pulling up for the quick jumper.

Khloe Thompson was making shots from all over the court knocking down midrange jumpers in transition, and she showed off her range shooting the ball. She hustled up the court knowing where to find the openings for a jump shot to break a press, and she was ready for the pass on a fast break to score at the rim. She didn’t back down on defense being ready to prevent her opponents from finding a path to the basket.

With Samyha Suffren having graduated from Cannon School and embarking on a collegiate career at ACC school Virginia Tech, this makes returning standouts such as Thompson a bigger focal point for the 2023-24 rendition of the Cougars. Thompson stands at 5-foot-7 and primarily operates in the backcourt at either one of the two guard positions. During this past travel season, she ran with Team United. Thompson causes problems for teams on both the offensive and defensive sides of the floor as she is a threat to corral steals and create additional possessions for her team. Cannon has been one of the premier private schools in girls basketball in North Carolina and that will surely continue with Thompson once again sporting Cougars maroon and gold this season.

is very quick on the court using her speed to jump into passing lanes or push the ball up the court. She finds her open teammates with ease making the bounce pass into her teammates on the block, or she can take the ball all the way to the hoop herself. She can create her own space knocking down shots from deep, too. Look for her to step up for Cannon as a main ball handler controlling the tempo and being the floor general.

is so quick handling the ball exploding up the court as soon as she gets it. She can weave in and out of her defenders on her way to the basket, and she makes the smart dish to her teammate for some points. Her speed is an asset on defense flashing in front of the pass to grab some steals.
