Akens provides another layer of guard fire power for Ralston Valley. This guard plays calm and consistent on a nightly basis. She is quick and has nice handles to break presses and lead offensive sets. She can get to her scoring spots, where she is effective in both 2pt and 3pt range. Khloe has some top scorers as teammates and she takes pride in finding them with great passes, right where they need the ball to score. Don’t be fooled by the 5’5″ height, Khloe is tough on defense. She has the footwork and defensive quickness to keep dribblers and shooters contained in both the full and the half court. She always seems to be in the right place to get steals and rebounds from bigger posts that aren’t paying attention. Ralston Valley will go deep into the playoffs this year, watch for Akens to be a part of that run.

Akens is a quick and efficient guard for Ralston Valley. She is calm on the court, making great decisions with the ball in full court pressure situations. This also helps her to find the big scorers on her team in the right spots. Don’t overlook Khloee as a scorer, at 5’4″, she is not afraid to get into the paint to get points or get to the free throw line. She can also hit shot from mid-range and 3pt line, making her a perfect backup guard. Defensively, Akens is quick with her feet and hands. She is great in a press, getting traps and steals for her team. She is also great in the half court, guarding wing players. Khloee has no far when it comes to getting in help side and battling bigger post players. As a sophomore, Akens has all of the skills to keep Ralston Valley in the top rankings in the Jeffco league and in the state.

Akens provided perimeter shooting off the catch, capable of stringing together multiple shots from distance in a row. Tasked with guarding the perimeter playmakers on opposing teams, she is laterally quick to wall off opponents at the point of attack.
