Smith was yet another player who used her frame on both ends of the court and when you factor in her being a freshman, her upside is nice because she understands the simple things, like keeping the ball high and boxing out, which aided her rebounding on both ends. She also gave me the “hands and footwork” which is another plus

At Smith’s young age, she already understands how to keep the ball high around the rim and this makes guarding her a real challenge for smaller sized opponents. Smith’s shot blocking ability makes the opposing team think twice before attacking the basket because she can and will send their shots launching. Her size makes players alter their shots and when she is off the floor, her absence is felt.
