Today was my first opportunity to see Kristina in action, and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay commit is a real talent. She has the frame and can play with the physicality of a power forward, but she is also the athlete and moves around the floor well-enough to be a full-time wing. She took and made some tough perimeter jumpers, she broke her defender down off the bounce, and she facilitated like a point forward in transition and in the half-court. She also sat down and defended wings and bigger guards.

Only three players made over 100 three-pointers in the 2023-24 high school season. Those three were

. I’d argue those three are the most dangerous perimeter threats, and Ouimette doesn’t get her shots like the others. Ziebell and Terrian have a balance of creating off the dribble, running off screens, and catch-and-shoot opportunities. At Lakeland, there wasn’t another threat on the perimeter, so all the defensive attention went to her, and it didn’t matter. Her length allowed her to take shots that few could imagine, and she made them routinely. After committing to Lehigh University to play with her sister in Pennsylvania, Kristina flipped to UW-Green Bay to play with her sister after Julianna transferred to play for new Phoenix coach Kayla Karius.

Kristina Ouimette – I see Ouimette and Christian in a similar light. They’re six-foot wing/forward that shoots it with volume and consistency. However, what makes Ouimette different is her off-ball movement. Ouimette constantly moves without the ball and has tremendous footwork. Few people can set their feet as quickly as Ouimette, and she makes shots at a high level. There isn’t a better volume shooter in Wisconsin at the moment. Ouimette will join her older sister, Julianna, at Lehigh after graduating. – BRADY PETERSON COMMITTED: UW-Green Bay
