Easterling is becoming one of the most versatile athletes in the area, on both ends. Yes, she can bang inside and battle for rebounds, as well as defend, but her lateral movement has gotten better as she showed she could apply heat baseline to baseline defensively. She played the passing lane and handled the battle afterward. She scored off the dribble and around the basket, but her midrange needs to be mentioned as well.

Easterling made a huge jump yet peep this, at the #SimmieColsonClassic I’m foreseeing an even larger one coming this club season . My previous sightings told me many things about her scoring off the dribble and around the basket see evaluations here yet at the SCC all bets are off because she’s not only creating her shot while being pressured, she’s knocking the mid to long-range down while being defended

Easterling set it off in front of me during the club season, see evaluations here, and showed me I didn’t see a mirage at the event. She smoothly does things that might not show up on a stat sheet, like setting the right screen or making the pass that leads to another pass for an assist. Her scoring off the dribble, finishing strongly after contact, looked good, so did her rebounding and defense

Easterling falls in that “her ceiling has no roof” group and yeah, I saw how much potential when I covered her club teams trout but at the Simmie Colson Classic, she helped set it off. She’s long and athletic, still the base, and also powerful around the basket to score , contact was irrelevant. She also rebounded and handled the ball afterward but off the dribble as well as outside, she showed she could score

Easterling was nowhere to be found when I used my search bar yet watching her pass the “eye test” early with size coupled with frame = college-ready body, the math was simple, especially after watching her go AFTA everything off the rim. Her first step was one of the best as she scored off the dribble after contact, with either hand, she also played tough “on the ball” defense and played the passing lane
