Kylie exploded onto the scene this spring and summer with WV Thunder Smith. Her strong play on the Select 40 Circuit has significantly boosted her recruitment, as she’s already picked up eight Division I offers. Kylie has become one of the most sought-after prospects in Kentucky.
Kylie’s length and athleticism make her not only a star basketball player, but also a standout on the volleyball court in the state of Kentucky. Her versatility, to go along with her height and explosive leaping ability, were hard to miss in Ohio as she crashed the offensive boards from the wing and weak side going after what seemed like every missed shot her team took. She was excellent slashing to the basket with and without the ball and knocked down open shots from the perimeter. Those god given gifts with her competitiveness and high motor have landed Kylie offers from schools like Drexel, Eastern Kentucky, Tennessee Tech, and multiple others. Watching her play again it was easy to see why as she moves with great quickness and agility without the basketball. On way play she came up from the block, took a handoff coming off a curl screen, took two dribbles and finished both with her left hand. Her activity level is as high as her skill level which had the Mac Irvin players tasked with guarding her exhausted by the end of the game. She is a very skilled player who is going to make a big, positive impact for whichever program she chooses at the next level.
Kylie had a strong weekend at the Miracle Classic, showing a well-rounded offensive skill set. She handles the ball confidently, creates separation in the mid-range, and elevates smoothly into pull-up jumpers. She is also a capable three-point shooter and can score inside by backing down defenders and finishing through contact. On defense, she moves her feet well and does a strong job keeping opponents out of the paint.
Kylie is building serious momentum and playing with a point to prove. Fresh off picking up a Division I offer from Lipscomb University following the April live period, she elevated her game even further at the Tennessee Miracle Classic. She recorded a team-high 15 points and 1 block in Game 1 against TN Flight Trotters Smith, then followed it up with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 block in the championship game, leading her team to a 45–44 win over ETA E40 Campos.
Kinner who is also an excellent volleyball player was like the old energizer bunny on the court for WV Thunder darting from spot to spot and seemingly finding her way into the middle of the action on the majority of the game. Her athleticism is obvious enough for people in the stands next to me that I could overhear say she must play volleyball because of how high she was jumping as she snatched rebounds and finished at the rim. Kinner played excellent on ball defense and was active and aware in the passing lanes. She has the ability to quickly to turn defense into offense when opposing teams turn the ball over and she did that in multiple games over the course of the event. She looked like a wide receiver catching a 3/4 court dart from Mills in stride and scoring through contact at the rim for the And One play.
Arguably the best multi-sport athlete in Kentucky, Kylie had a season to remember. She finished among the state’s leading scorers, averaging 26.9 points per game. Kylie reached the 3,000-point milestone, becoming Paintsville’s all-time leading scorer while also ranking fifth all-time in 15th Region history. She was named Region Player of the Year and earned First Team All-State honors in basketball, in addition to being an All-State selection in volleyball.
Kylie was among the best I saw on Friday, as she has her fingerprints all over the game against Bardstown. She scored from every level, and relentlessly pursued rebounds throughout the night, especially on the offensive glass and consistently turned second-chance opportunities into points. She also came up with a big-time block on the defensive end. Kylie is in the midst of an incredible junior season and recently became the Lady Tigers’ all-time leading scorer with 2,376 career points, while also setting the program record for career three-pointers made (255).

is off to a red-hot start to her junior season, averaging 27 points per game through the first three contests. She put together a pair of terrific performances in Week 2 at the WYMT Mountain Basketball Classic, where she averaged 60 points across two games, dropping 32 points, added 3 blocks, and 3 steals in a nail-biter against Hazard, followed by 28 points 12 rebounds, 7 steals, 3 assists against Perry County Central. Paintsville will look to make it two straight wins as they take on Shelby Valley tonight.
Kylie is not just a shooter, but also might be the best player in the 15th Region. She made 59 3’s at 35% and a whopping 24.6 ppg and 10 rpg. Kylie is walking double-double machine! Paintsville is in the tough 57th District, but watch this team make noise and Kylie will be leading the way!

had a herculean effort in the 15th Region Tournament, putting her team on her back with a pair of big-time performance. The multi-sport star led the way with 26 points and 9 rebounds in a 55-44 opening-round win over Betsy Layne. She followed it up with a phenomenal 39-point, 9-rebound effort in a tough loss to Lawrence County 64-67. Kylie dominated the postseason, averaging an incredible 34.5 points and 12.7 rebounds per game.
