Expert Analysis
Evan Bell | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Kyrstin gave her team a spark with her presence in the paint at the PGH Michigan State Showcase. She closed out hard to block a shot, anticipated a dribble to steal the ball away on defense, and worked for positioning to score an offensive rebound putback. Kyrstin sealed her defender, caught a pass with good hands, pivoted, and scored the contested layup. She used good footwork to get the scoring angle for another layup and showed her outside range by banking in a triple from the wing. Kyrstin scored a strong and-one bucket then tacked on the free throw.

Kyrstin, a guard for 5Star Basketball, is a versatile player to keep an eye on heading into the MI College Tour III at Grand Valley this weekend. She competes on the defensive end, staying in front of ball handlers and cutting off driving lanes. Offensively, Kyrstin impacts the game in a variety of ways—finishing strong around the rim off two feet, scoring with a soft floater, and stepping out to knock down shots from beyond the arc. She also puts in work on the glass, battling for rebounds and using her positioning to create second-chance opportunities. With her all-around skill set and toughness, she has the ability to make a strong impact in the 15U division.
