About Laila

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Fast power forward/center with excellent court presence, quick on rebounds offensively and defensively. Not afraid to take the ball under the hoop and shoot. A sharp jumpshot in the paint. Can block shots like nobody’s business with a high vertical.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

A positive attitude on and off the court. A true leader along peers that can give advice and take criticism. Overall a fun player to have as a teammate.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Great Lakes Grind

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Volunteering at the M-22 Challenge with our high school basketball teams, coaching at youth basketball camps. Able to give positive advice to teammates/younger athletes. A role model for young girls aspiring to do well in basketball and other sports.

What type of college are you looking for?

Division I, II, or III that I can continue my basketball career and become an even better player at a higher level.
