One of the best scoring guards in the entire 2025 class, Laken moves from 42 up to 18th overall after leading Martin County in nearly every statistical category this season. Williams needs to improve her three point shooting to reach her prospect ceiling but she’s still able to score the ball at a high level even without being a knockdown shooter from deep.

One of the best players in the mountains, Laken moved up from 80 to 42 and has the potential to keep rising as she gets more exposure and gets to play more competition outside of the mountains. Martin County could potentially make a run in the 15th region this season and Williams is a name to watch for sure.

Williams is a steady hand with the ball with great balance. She stole a ball and drove in 3/4s the length of the court for a layup, hit a wing three in transition and another three from the top of the key.
I was pleased to know I was going to get a chance to see her play again this season at a Christmas Tournament, until I remembered that I wouldn’t be attending due to a prior engagement. But you should see her play Coach, especially if your offense needs the kind of heady Guard to make sure your team runs the plays.

When you watch Williams, you can just see how high her basketball IQ is. She’s such a smart basketball player and she consistently plays hard. Defensively, she slides her feet and can come up with multiple steals in any given game. Offensively, she is a true floor general. She sees the floor extremely well and she makes good decisions. If she can drive, she recognizes that and gets past her defender. If the defender gives her even a little bit of space, she can knock down shots. When she doesn’t have anything there, she gets the ball to her teammates. She creates for them as well. Williams does all of the little things and she does them really well.
