For the youngest of the Wright sisters, it’s clear already that the talent runs in the family. Despite only being an 8th grader, Lamairah (pictured in the banner photo above) demonstrated at Fall League that her game consists of tremendous poise and leadership. Whether defending the point of attack on the perimeter, or going at the rim herself, the 5’5 guard oozes confidence and maturity, making her a valuable piece of Minnetonka’s roster. Where Lamairah really impressed me on Sunday was her defense. With tremendous lateral speed at her disposal, she was able to keep her opponents in front of her on defense, making her incredibly difficult to score against. Having clearly studied the game from a young age, the Skippers guard is going to be a name we talk about a lot in the years to come.
