has had an outstanding career and is looking to cement her legacy at McClintock with a strong run at a State Championship. The Chargers traveled to Tucson in the first round of the Open Division Playoffs and dominated the game against Mica Mountain. Lamaiya is the point guard and quarterback for McClintock, who is an excellent passer and defender. Woodberry didn’t have a huge game statistically, but she provided leadership and stability as the Chargers coasted to a victory. The Chargers ended the first week by upsetting powerhouse Salpointe Catholic to advance to the Quarterfinals.

Woodbury put together one of the most complete games of the week. She scored, she passed, and she defended at a high level, finishing with 16 points, 5 assists, and 6 steals despite foul trouble late. Lamaiya is a real two-way impact player.

Woodberry is an athletic guard who excelled in the open floor as well as the half-court set. Finished well through contact and brought energy and activity every game. She also displayed her playmaking skills by attacking the basket and dropping off nice passes to her post players.

A versatile combo guard who can score or facilitate depending on the need. Lamaiya’s ability to make plays on both ends stands out — she’s just as comfortable creating for others as she is knocking down her own shot. Add in her defensive intensity, and she’s the kind of player every coach wants on the floor late in games.

has really raised her stock in the last several months performing extremely well in Showcases and during club season. Lamaiya is the prototype Combo Guard that will play mostly at the 2 position, but she can play point and small forward as well. She is a terrific shooter. She has a very quick release on her shot and can hit 3’s consistently from anywhere on the floor. She is outstanding on the drive to the basket as she has several finishing moves that she can go to. She is an excellent defender that is long and can cover multiple positions. She has the chance to be the best combo guard in the state this season and one of the top players in the Western Region.

turned in an excellent performance at the Showcase. She is a tremendous athlete and her agility, speed, and explosiveness was eye popping. She has the ability to separate from defenders easily and is a highly conditioned athlete. In my opinion, she had the best technical shot out of all participants, especially from 3. She is a multi-level scorer that can create opportunities with her quickness. She is a long defender that can guard several positions, and in transition she is unstoppable. She is a D1 prospect in my opinion that just needs to find the right opportunity.

If you had a list of overall stock risers in the state, Woodberry would have to be near the top. Playing with her Peak squad, her ball-handling and quickness were constantly on display. Her perimeter shot has gotten better, and that makes her even tougher to defend.

Woodberry showed why she is one of the better rising juniors in the state. She showed the ability to run the point while still being able to maintain her own offense. She got out in the open court, finished well and had some nice assists.

Woodberry is our 3rd-ranked small forward in the Class of 2026 and enters her junior year primed for a breakout season for McClintock.
Woodberry is one of the top scorers in the state and should display that yet again this season. As a sophomore, she averaged 21.4 points per game on a ridiculous 59% shooting clip. Woodberry also chipped in with 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals per contest in 21 games played for McClintock last season.
We will be monitoring her game closely this season as she’s due for a breakout season coming off a strong summer.
