Landry gained some valuable varsity experience last year during her 8^th grade year.  I reached out to her head coach to get some insight into what makes Steffes special as a player.  Here is what he said: “Landry had a very good first season at the varsity level as an 8^th grader.   She is a good shooter with the potential of being a great shooter.  Landry plays a lot of basketball in the offseason, whether it be the AAU circuit or just shooting in her garage at home.  She finished the season as our team’s 3^rd leading scorer while coming off the bench.  Landry will have to develop more consistency in playing hard all the time, as I believe it took her a while to adapt to the speed and physicality of varsity basketball.  I’m confident she absorbed that learning curve during her 8^th grade year and will be just fine going forward.  She projects to be a great all around player as she shown flashes of greatness on offense, defense, and rebounding.”
