About Laney

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

When running an offense one of the things I am best at is spotting up and hitting threes. I am also very quick and play at a fast pace. When there is a turnover or long rebound, I make sure to hustle back and play good, tight defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

On the court I am very positive and competitive. I want my team and I to win and play to the best of our abilities, but it has do be done with good sportsmanship. If I see a teammate struggling I will lift them up and help them move forward.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In middle school I played volleyball and ran track, but I decided I wanted to focus on basketball in highschool.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a really good, uplifting teammate and leader. I pass the ball well and have good court vision.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The biggest challenge I have faced is my mom dying of brain cancer back in 2022. It has been hard but it has also helped me grow and become stronger as a person, which has led me to become stronger as a player.

What type of college are you looking for?

My goal is to work really hard and play division one college basketball. It is not going to be easy but I am going to put in the work and the hours until I can accomplish my dream.
