About Laniyah
Expert Analysis
Tink Butler | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Laniyah had a plethora of fakes and she is willing to pull them all out on a single play. She finished with short turnaround jumpers, up and under moves and whatever it took to get a clean shot off. She also attacked well from the high post after turning and facing into the triple threat. Her moves seemed instinctive and not pre-meditated and she seemed to always have a counter move on standby ready to go.

Laniyah is a true lanlord of the paint. Her strength and size allow her to command and win the rebound game on both ends of the court. Offensively, she a more traditional post game with quick feet on the block with her back to the basket. Defensively, she will have her defenders thinking twice as her physical presence can be bullish.

was another. Laniyah didn’t have a huge DMV live, but she got a lot of playing time, and I saw a few flashes of what she could be. I love Laniyah’s touch around the rim, and she has great energy as a rebounder. Laniyah has the size to play as a forward, but I think she will develop into a versatile player.
