was simply incredible in the championship game. One of 6A’s best point guards keeps getting better, and she certainly shows up in big moments.
Brewster led NLR in scoring this game with 14, and she was effective at getting to the charity stripe. She only made one triple in the game, but she has always been such a dedicated slasher, and she showed that against Har-Ber.
Though listed at 5’6″, she was putting in work on the boards, pulling down 7 rebounds. With all 7 on the defensive end, she was pushing the ball and starting the fastbreak immediately. I also can’t forget to mention her effort on the defensive end, where she recorded 4 steals and was a crucial piece in NLR’s amazing defensive performance.

will be making the argument for top point guard in 6A, if not the 2027 class, this coming year, especially with the way she played in the title game.

North Little Rock has looked elite all year long, but not only that, they are so well-rounded.

has been leading that great two-way attack this year, and she could be a major difference-maker in the playoffs.
NLR’s great play on both ends of the floor is often spurred by Brewster’s incredible two-way play. On defense, she locks down opposing ball-handlers with her high defensive IQ, her quick feet, and her aggression. All of those qualities allow her to play great on-ball defense and to force turnovers.
On offense, Brewster has proven to be a solid playmaker. She is great at the always-effective, drive-and-kick, which helps when she has solid shooters around her. Of course, she can take it upon herself to score, especially in the lane, where she has a nice floater and a great ability to get right to the cup.
North Little Rock is built like a championship team. They have the bigs, the athleticism, the shooters, the defenders, and of course, the playmakers. And it all starts and ends with

Combo guard seeing for the first time in person at the I-35 showcase. A lighting quick guard that has great handles. Actually, saw her cross one defender up putting the defender in a spin cycle before going by to score the layup. The most impressive aspect of her game that I appreciated was the entry passes to the post. She changed her angle on the delivery and put some nice touch on the ball getting it there. Nice shot off the dribble either in the 3-pointer or the pull up jumper at the free throw line. Pushed the tempo up the floor with the dribble and pass with her eyes up looking for running teammate filling the lanes.
Aggressive defender that used her quick feet and hands to get the steal on the ball for the turnover. A very athletic player that one time this weekend rotated out of the hold to block a corner 3-point shot. The 2027 is ranked in the Top 20 in Arkansas and after watching her this weekend I understand why. One player that I look forward to following.

Another point guard from the 6A Central that I saw twice last season was

. She was at her best when Central High School traveled across the Arkansas River to face North Little Rock, and she hit the eventual game-winning shot while wreaking havoc on the defensive end.
During that game-winning possession, Brewster kept her composure better than some seniors. She held on to the basketball through traffic, then, when the lane opened up and she had an open look, she held her concentration and finished the easy layup.
Seeing that type of composure from such a young player in a critical game is valuable, especially if she is going to have the ball in her hands more often down the stretch. Not only can she finish inside, but she has shown that she can knock down the perimeter shot. Though that part of her game is still improving, her impressive handle allows her to get to any spot on the floor, and she has the ability to score any way she can.

did not move up too many spots in the ranking, but she still cracked the top 15. I got the opportunity to watch her play a couple of times this season and she was absolutely fantastic.
Brewster is listed as a combo-guard on this site, but she is best when she is running the point. She is an excellent facilitator who hits her teammates with accurate passes every time down the floor. She also has an understanding of pace, as she can slow down or speed the game up whenever she needs to.
She is an improving shooter, but with her solid handles, she can maneuver her way inside and finish past the defense. Brewster’s athleticism allows her to shoot over taller defenders in the paint.

continues to impress with her ability to facilitate NLR’s offense. Against Central, however, she came through in the scoring category.
The sophomore point guard finished the night with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Though her teammates struggled to hit shots at times, she still found cutters and fed her bigs down low. Most of Brewster’s shots were from mid-range and the interior, and she was fairly inconsistent. Despite that, Brewster was clutch down the stretch.
Brewster’s final 5 points gave the Wildcats the shot in the arm they needed in the waning seconds of the game. She shot a triple off the catch on the right wing, watching it fall through without touching the rim. As I mentioned in my recap, Brewster had the ball on NLR’s last possession, finding herself wide-open underneath for what would be the game-winning shot.
Not many sophomores can perform under pressure, but

is one of the top players in the class of 2027, but she did not shoot the ball well last night. However, she did plenty of other things to help her team stay in the game.
Brewster ended the night with a stat line of 4 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and 1 steal. Considering NLR only scored 33 points, 7 assists is kind of hard to believe. Brewster could not get anything going from inside or outside, so she made sure to facilitate the offense to the best of her ability, getting her teammates involved. She also grabbed 3 offensive rebounds, dishing out assists on a couple of those newfound scoring opportunities.
The sophomore guard played solid defense, holding Central’s two guards in check throughout the game. She played with hounding on-ball pressure, but she even put her body on the line when playing on help-side defense, drawing a charge in the 2nd half.

is one of the better floor generals in the 6A classification, and she is only a sophomore! Last night’s game showed that she can handle to pressure of being a primary facilitator, and NLR head coach Daryl Fimple has to love having that in a young guard.

received her first offer in October from Lyon College, and from what she has shown so far this season, her offer list will do nothing but grow.
Brewster has been able to find a large role on a loaded North Little Rock team thanks to her ability as an offensive sparkplug. Brewster is an excellent 3-point shooter who can hit the deep-ball off the catch, even in transition. If a driving lane is available, then Brewster is going to take it, slashing hard to the basket, welcoming contact. She can also dish to her teammates with accurate passes, even cross-court. Of course, Brewster is more than just a solid offensive player.
Brewster has shown that she can cause a lot of problems on the defensive end for the opposition. In one game in particular versus 6A West Rogers Heritage, she recorded 5 steals to go along with her 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. She applies suffocating on-ball defensive pressure, forcing multiple steals a night, and will turn those newfound offensive opportunities into points.

is a two-way star for the Lady Charging Wildcats, and there is no way she does not add more offers by the end of the season.
