Layia plays much larger than her listed height. Long arms, light feet, and great anticipation make her a defensive menace. Layia gets off the floor fairly quickly and finished 5th in CA rebounding last year. She is the epitome of a defensive anchor. Layia has been a devastating shot blocker for years and averaged 7BPG as a freshman! She has even led the full-court press at times. Her athleticism is next level. Colleges are salivating over Layia’s potential.

King was a force in the paint in her sophomore season, averaging 16.3 rebounds and 5.0 blocks per game. As a shot blocker, King does an exceptionally good job of staying verticle and on the ground when contesting shots. Her height and long reach allow her to disrupt drives in the paint without putting herself in foul trouble. She is also a great weak side defender, knowing when to help on drives which often resulted in blocked shots or penetrators kicking it out or turning it over. Her impressive 2.6 steals are a result of her off-ball awareness and knowing when to jump the passing lane or front her opponent when an entry pass is being made.
