How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I play aggressive on defense, with a lot of hustle. On offense I am more of an undercurrent, using my analytical skills to create scoring opportunities for my teammates.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am the biggest supporter of my teammates, I am mentally strong and try to continuously look for growth opportunities. I am friendly and love to make mundane things fun, but when it comes to game time, I lock in and take it very seriously.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am a member of National Honor Society, Gifted and Talented, and the Talent Identification program for gifted students.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I love to serve my community and volunteer to pack snack packs for kids from food-insecure homes. I also write personalized Christmas Cards to all the residents of a nursing home every year for Christmas and pass them out in person.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I was born with a cleft lip and palate. I have had around 10 related surgeries including bone grafts. I have had to navigate school and basketball during recovery periods, and haven't always encountered polite and understanding peers. My clefts have added much to my life experience and have fueled my academic choices. Someday I will be an orthodontist so I can help kids who have clefts.
What type of college are you looking for?
Looking for a school with a strong academic standing to help ensure dental school admission. Would like to play basketball with the school if possible, or if it's more of an elite school I would be happy on a practice team.
