Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m a fast and energetic player who thrives in big moments. Being ambidextrous, I can use both hands to finish, pass, and defend, which makes me tough to predict on the court. I’m always looking to drive to the basket, lock down my opponents, and make clutch plays. I always keep the team in mind and give my best effort in every game. I’m also a long jumper with a PR of 16'4" as an 8th grader.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m super competitive and always want to get better. I’m proud of being able to do different things, whether in school or sports. I try to keep an open mind because I know every challenge is a chance to improve. I always push myself, and I try to help my teammates do the same, staying focused on getting better every day.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I’m part of the Gifted & Talented Program and have consistently been on the A Honor Roll. I’ve won academic awards like “Math Wiz” for a perfect STAAR score, Artist of the Year, and Spelling Bee Champion. I’ve also served as the captain of a robotics team, competing in the FIRST LEGO League Challenge.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Leadership and teamwork are my greatest strengths. As co-captain of my school basketball team and lead scorer across multiple sports, I’ve learned how to build trust and chemistry with teammates. I’ve also led in academic settings, guiding a robotics team and modeling discipline and perseverance for younger peers.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of the hardest challenges I’ve faced is balancing being a student-athlete with being a big sister to my younger brother, who is nonverbal and autistic. While I push myself in school and sports, I also try to be someone he can depend on. It’s not always easy, but loving and supporting him has taught me patience, strength, and the importance of showing up — no matter how busy or tired I am.
What type of college are you looking for?
I want a college that challenges me academically and athletically. A place where I can grow in STEM and continue my love for sports. I’m looking for a program that cares about student-athletes and supports them in all parts of their life. I want to be part of a close-knit community where I can make a difference both on the court and in the classroom.
