Lila, a guard for Grind Elite, delivered a strong morning performance at MI College Tour II – Wayne State, impacting the game on both ends. Defensively, she was disruptive, jumping passing lanes and coming away with multiple steals that quickly turned into offense. She pushed the ball in transition, going coast-to-coast on several occasions, while also knocking down shots from beyond the arc. In the half court, she showed craft with a tough spin move in the lane and did a good job collapsing the defense, including a well-timed drop-off pass to her post player.

Lila is a gritty guard who facilitates, slashes to the rim, and makes her mark with all-out effort on the defensive end. She changed directions using both hands to escape ball-pressure, drove hard through the gap with a burst to cause a foul, and buried both free throws with a confident stroke Lila worked extremely hard to defend the perimeter, reached in quickly to deflect the ball, crashed the glass to secure an offensive rebound, and threw a great kick-out pass to a teammate for an assist on a three-pointer. She’s a prospect from Hanover-Horton to have on your radar.

Lila is a prospect I saw for the first time at Jackson Summer League with Hanover-Horton and she made sure to leave a lasting impression. Her quickness and anticipation creates steals on the defensive end. Lila plays hard and competes regardless of the outcome. She has an explosive first step off the dribble and finishes through contact. Lila moves well without the ball, finishes with both hands at the rim, and sees the floor. She earned a spot on our rankings board and is a guard I’m excited to see again in the future.

Lila used a jab move in the corner, blew past her defender, and finished through contact in the paint to score the and-one. She worked hard to secure an offensive rebound and scored the put-back off two feet. Lila changed directions rapidly, ran the floor hard in transition, and kept her hands active on defense.
