The motor Verplancke has on the defensive end is what stands out the most about her. The Grafton forward is about 5’10, but would do an excellent job guarding posts and using her quickness to be a part of the Blackhawks’ transition offense and defense. She doesn’t stop running, which coaches will love when they see her play. There’s room to grow for her on the offensive end of the floor, but Verplancke was a plus as a screener and roller when Grafton had her set ball screens. She isn’t a big name in box scores but is effective in her role.
