The Freshman Showcase brought out the best in everyone. Knaust came in feeling like she had some things to prove, and she quickly established why many believe she’s one of the top shooters around. I witnessed her knock down back to back deep threes that sent her court into a frenzy and she continued the great play throughout. What stands out about her is that she’s one of the most humble players you will meet.

Knaust has a reputation as a high-level shooter, and she lived up to it this afternoon. All the perimeter jumpers I saw her take were of the ‘catch-and-shoot’ variety, but she’s a good enough shooter that she will demand defensive attention on the perimeter. I thought she worked well away from the ball and kept her defender’s attention at all times, even if she didn’t touch the ball. I was also fairly impressed by how comfortable she was with the ball in her hands.

Knaust once again showed off her shooting ability, but what stood out to me was her positive attitude in a gym full of the top girls around Knaust kept the energy in the gym live her intensity on the court made sure others had the same approach. Her High School coaching staff should love having her for the next 4 years.

The Grafton native is an excellent perimeter shooter who will space the floor anywhere she plays in her future. She has solid footwork and can get her shot off quickly, which will help her excel as an off-ball player at the high school level. She also doesn’t get forced into uncomfortable situations with the ball and can make quick reads off the catch.

Knaust balled out day 3 her energy was the same as day 1 and 2. She looked great during drills her camp instructor pointed out that she was a great shooter and 3 level scorer.
