Gomis grabbed my attention during the club season. Along with @playerrimidies, we see big things coming for this talented young lady see evaluations here. Being “long and athletic” is always a plus, as many next-level coaches love that profile, so when you factor in her height and her ability to block, deflect, and alter shots, she’s ahead of the game. She rebounded on both ends, scored inside, yes, putbacks included, and even went coast to coast to score. On top of that, she played the passing lane

Goms is a 6’2 rim running post that can catch and put the ball on the floor and finish with both hands. She already understands how to use her size advantage to continuously work the lane by posting and reposting on the perimeter passes. Footwork and understanding where to be at is paramount for posts at this age. If her teammates are not feeding her on the block, she can go and get it herself off the glass. Gomis has the blueprint to possess a dangerous turnaround jumper from the low block: she posts low, feels the defense and makes the quick move one way before shooting in the middle. She also made effective rolls after setting screens on the perimeter.

Gomis is also “long and athletic,” and yes, that will always be the best, and after watching her perform for her Houston Lady Nets team at the Simmie Colson Classic for the first time, I needed to add “ultra athletic” into the equation. She adjusts and recovers well on defense, she comes from out of nowhere to block shots, and her intangibles are impressive see evaluation here

Gomis is not only “long and athletic” but peep this, she’s going to be ULTRA athletic because she’s showing her ability to do things instinctively as well as react and recover, please don’t question me, I know what I know. Her timing is among the best in the state, right now, all classes included, and watching her score off the dribble and finish after contact coupled with her high upside is sort of scary, for defenders
