of Keokuk High School. Mason, the 5’6 SG, is coming off of a high school season where she was her team’s leader-in-motion. All the action that came on the floor, was usually set up by Mason in one way or another. She demonstrated that she is a very good player off of the ball with the ability to score at a high clip. She can also facilitate to those around her when defenders decide to throw more than one defender at her during a possession. I hope that Mason can build off of this past season. She put some notable games together and I expect more of the same on the road over the next couple of months.

ranked in the Top 10 throughout the entire state of Iowa last season in total steals with 132 in 23 contests. Mason is a hungry competitor that plays with a lot of energy. She is very good at learning opponents tendencies early on in a game and that helps her understand when and where to go for steals against them when they matchup. Mason plays smart, simple basketball. She keeps everything in control as much as possible and that seems to help her thrive in most situations. This Winter should be a fun one for Central Lee. Now that everyone has some more experience under their belts, they should be really to aim for the sky’s this Winter.

has been such a killer at Central Lee the past few seasons. Mason has been a team leader in a few statistical categories over her two years at the Varsity level and she is primed to keep that rolling into her Junior season. Just like with anyone, when Mason has confidence she is at her best. She is tough to stop once she gets downhill, she makes the correct choices with the ball, and she understands how to use her angles to her advantage in both sides of the floor. If Mason put up even better numbers the next two years at the Varsity level, I would not be surprised. She can GO and that was fun to see in this one!
