Lucia has had an amazing season this year for Bellevue, starting off her high school career to a fantastic start. She earned 2nd team all conference honors for her steady play this season. She has continued to grow her game on the court too, staying confident all season long and doing a great job at not only being able to get buckets but also adjusting to the defense and doing what it takes to get her team the win. She can play all 5 positions and will continue to be a problem over the next few years.

Lucia is going to make an impact quickly for Bellevue and will be a top prospect in this state over the next 4 years. She excelled during the freshman showcase, showcasing an advanced level game on both sides of the court. She scored at all 3 levels, using her body to her advantage to get easy buckets, and blowing by defenders when attacking from the perimeter. She also came to the PGH Expo that featured top talent in the entire state and played excellent there too, showing she can play with high level talent already.

Mayorquin is a physical presence already with her work and skill around the paint. She’s highly efficient scoring around the key with midrange jumpers and solid footwork inside, and can step out to knock down some threes too. Her strength and anticipation show themselves in a lot of ways inside, scoring, rebounding, and blocking shots. She’ll be a player who can have an instant impact at Bellevue this winter.

Mayorquin is a big guard who can easily play both guard positions at the next level. I was truly impressed with her three-level scoring ability, basketball IQ, and craftiness when attacking defenders. She can also defend at a high level. Her poise and composure in pressure situations are what really sold me for only being a freshmen. I expect her to be one of the top prospects out of the Pacific Northwest regardless of class.
