. With the size that Hansen brings to the floor, she could be a killer this Winter at Colfax-Mingo High School. She has been someone today that everyone has to worry about near the hoop. If not, if she going to score and rebound the ball at a high rate because of her nature mixture of height and soft touch on the ball. Hansen is still extremely raw in this game but I’m sure that she will do damage this Winter at the Varsity level. She just needs to shake the rust off and to get into a little better shape then who knows how far she could really take things moving forward.”

dominates her competition in high school because of her size, touch, and position compared to her competition. Hansen stands above most at 6’1 and that helps her feast on both sides of the ball as as producer. At this event, there will be 2-3 others that are 6’1, who can also play a little so how she matches up again these types of players is important in my eyes. It’s not everything but it will definitely help us understand the landscape of some of the Post players in this State before we get to the high school season this Winter. All in all, if Hansen plays her game and only worries about what she can control, she will be just fine.

When you take into consideration the mixture of Lydia Hansen‘s size and the competition she will matchup again over these next three months, you realize that she is going to have some crazy numbers at the Forward position. Hansen is listed at 6’1 but she seems more like 6’2 with a soft touch on the ball, a great base to play off of two feet with, and she understands to use her size to her advantage. She is not the type of prospect to bring the ball down on the catch near paint. Instead she keeps things high and keeps it simple. Usually resulting in success within 7 feet of the bucket. Hansen’s progression will be interesting the next few years. If she can become a master in the post and then she starts to work her way out to the perimeter more, who knows where she could take things.

of Colfax-Mingo High School is going to step on the Varsity floor as a Freshman this Winter and she will put up some positive numbers while doing so. Hansen stands at 6’1, she moves well for her size and her understanding of situations is pretty solid. At this Showcase, there could very well be 5-7 future D1 prospects competing so I’m excited to see how Hansen fairs. She is no stranger to tough competition but I do need to see that she can handle being on the floor at the same time with those top end players. If she can do that, it will only help her more in the long run, showing that she can adapt and compete, no matter who is on the floor around her.

is going to put up numbers this Winter at the Varsity level if given a fair shot and she continues to work up until her season begins. Hansen will come in and be listed as one of her program’s tallest players on roster right off the bat, with the ability to grow into a polished product before you know it. She is going to stand out defensively with her long reach and quick reaction time near the paint, while also being vital in the rebounding and scoring department as well. It may take her a few games to catch her rhythm but before you know it, Hansen could be a house hold name for her program moving into the future. She just needs to keep up her motivation and high motor. If she does that with her size, who knows where she might find herself when it comes to the collegiate floor in four years.

out of Colfax-Mingo High School. Hansen is a 6’1 Forward with solid coordination coming down the floor, touch, balance, and footwork. She does a great job of moving from side-to-side with her height, sometimes even displaying some guard like tendencies. Offensively, she can score it with her back to the basket with a turnaround, she can go through a defenders chest, or she can move to the outside and hit an open teammate with a nice pass. Defensively, this is someone that opposing teams have to worry about on a scouting report. If not, it’ll end with Hansen recording almost double-digits in blocks near the bucket. When you combined both of Hansen’s offense and defense, along with her size at 6’1 and young age, you understand the promise she possesses at this point in her career. All in all, she should be a fun watch this upcoming Winter and for years to come with the Tigerhawks.
