Even through Hampton County may have been on the losing end of Friday evening’s 57-47 decision to homestanding Lake Marion, Jones’ 25 points kept the Hurricanes in a winning spot from start to finish. Out of the 25 that Jones scored, 15 occurred in the first half when the matchup was more to Hampton County’s liking. Attacking the rim and finishing strong is one of the many strong points to Jones’ game. She attracts plenty of attention from defenses and takes advantage of that to make the right passes to put her teammates in the right positions to make plays. Jones also does not shy away from contact that can place her at the free throw line.

When watching a Hurricanes’ contest, one has to know they will see plenty of production from Hampton County’s star combo guard. That was the case once again on Friday evening. Even though the Hurricanes suffered its first region loss of the 2024-25 season to fall behind Lake Marion in the standings, Jones still provided 17 points in a stellar effort for Hampton County. Jones is an effective with handling the rock and will display accuracy from long range. The Hurricanes had a pair of made 3-pointers on Friday’s game – both of them departed from Jones’ hands. Her speed can particularly come into play when getting out in transition and finishing strong at the rim. She is unafraid of contact that will put her at the free throw line and has assumed an overall leadership role for Hampton County as evidenced by assuming team captaincy duties for the Hurricanes.
