Maci was spectacular in two big victories for a Southside team that will head into regional tournament play as the No. 2 seed from the 4A-6 Conference. She finished with 34 points, 4 steals and 4 assists in a 77-50 demolishing of Lo-noke, and notched 28 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in a 93-75 victory at Stuttgart. She was also named the Arkansas Democrat Gazette player of the week for her efforts.

Maci Witt Maci Witt 5'7" | PG Batesville Southside | 2028 State AR is another great freshman guard from the 4A classification. She is back at Southside Charter after a great first season on varsity, as well as a great summer playing in various college camps.

One camp that Witt particularly played well in was the UALR team camp back in July. She averaged 23 points over 6 games, scoring 36 in one of those contests.

Witt showed tremendous toughness over the course of the season and this summer. She attacks the basket with all of her might, muscling her way through the defense and having no problem scoring through contact. She has a nice shooting stroke, and she can knock down jumpers off the dribble extremely well.

Southside Charter is full of young players, including Maci Witt Maci Witt 5'7" | PG Batesville Southside | 2028 State AR , who runs the offense. She is ranked at #24 for now, but she could fly up the rankings with a strong sophomore season.

Witt was an all-conference and all-state tournament selection as a freshman in 2024-25, and she is looking to repeat her success this coming year. Witt has been impressive at the team camps the Lady Southerners have participated in.

She has shown that she can move the ball around effectively, keeping her eyes up in transition, waiting for a teammate to get open. The guard is also a threat to score at will, whether she is driving inside and finishing amongst the trees, or stepping back and hitting a three with a hand in her face.
