Macie had a fantastic freshman year for Portland St. Patrick and she delivered a huge semifinal performance against Onekama. Macie led the Shamrocks with 18 points and added eight rebounds in the win. She was red hot in the first quarter. Macie buried a corner three after chasing down an offensive rebound, scored a putback, and drained another corner three to give the team a six-point lead after one. Macie drove through the gap with a burst for a layup and cut backdoor for a left-handed bucket. She created separation with quick crossovers, then side-stepped a defender to score the transition layup. Macie added four points and five rebounds in the State Championship Game and has a bright future ahead at Portland St. Patrick.

Macie stepped into a key role for St. Patrick during their Thursday win. She has some length, athleticism, and a versatile skill set. Macie’s hard drives to the basket and backdoor cuts resulted in multiple layups in the first half. She has a burst and a second gear off the dribble. Macie finished a full-speed backdoor layup in stride and used a quick rip move to beat her defender down the baseline for two points. She changed directions confidently under pressure and handled the ball with poise. Macie scored half of the Shamrocks first half points and buried key free throws down the stretch to seal the win. She crashed the glass and ended the game with 10 points.
