Williams is a player who put up video game numbers on several occasions this season, drawing my interest and intrigue about her. When I watched her play versus Decatur, she got to her spots (the high post/mid-paint area) with and without the ball, and scored at will finishing with 30 points. She was equally effective at the top of Woodward’s press, where she and Lauryn Dennis-Cooper tormented the Decatur guards stealing the ball and scoring uncontested lay ups in transition. Zee maximized her effort sprinting from end to end calling for the ball to get buckets on the break, rather than jogging and hoping. She has very good length and can shoot the ball from deep. Williams has an excellent chance to repeat as Region Player of the Year and perhaps win state Player of the Year next season. She is a player who definitely could move up the rankings in the state. Her season averages were 23 points per game on 56% shooting with 8.1 rebounds, 5.6 steals, and three assists per game.
