Mackenzie is a really nice combination of an intense, energetic player, and a quick, fast, and explosive athlete. She plays 100 mph in all directions, and she is always around the ball trying to make plays. This Winter, she seems to have played with a bit more control, she increased her scoring average by a couple of points (from 9.0 to 11.8), she shot it better from the field, and she found teammates on many more occasions (5.0 apg). Her speed is her best weapon, so understanding how to change speeds and pick her spots could very well become her best weapon moving forward.

I felt like Mackenzie looked much improved a year ago, and she has continued to build on that and become a really nice small college prospect. She has good length, she continues to get stronger, plus she is playing with a much greater confidence. She is able to get out and go in transition, she can attack and change directions in traffic, plus she is a capable shooter/scorer from the perimeter. I think she’s primed for a really nice Spring.

Mackenzie has improved a great deal in the last calendar year. She is playing with more strength, confidence, and physicality, and she just looks all-around smoother and more aggressive. She has nice length, a fluid athleticism to her game, and she’s becoming a multilevel shooter/scorer. I felt like in March/April playing “up” an age group was maybe a little overwhelming at times, but by May she had adjusted well and was a consistent contributor with her grassroots team. She really stands out to me because of that growth.
