Mackenzie was in the zone at Northwood team camp. Her full-throttle finishes, pinpoint three-point shooting, and crafty handles dazzled spectators. She put a defender in a blender, using a shifty crossover move before blowing by to score a same-foot stretch finish with her left hand. Mackenzie was on fire from three-point distance. She buried two straightaway triples with a quick release off screens and knocked down two more. Mackenzie dished a laser beam pass to a teammate for an assist and converted another layup with her off hand. She disrupted the opponent with her active defense, creating steals and deflections. Mackenzie poured in a clutch free throw late to help seal the win against a great opponent. Her stock has continued to rise this summer, and she’ll be an exciting prospect to follow with Plymouth this winter.

Mackenzie is a guard prospect who gets to the basket, facilitates, and makes teams pay when they give her space to shoot from the perimeter. Mackenzie is a lethal three-point shooter and Plymouth does a great job of getting her open looks off screens. She drilled an open three and drained another long one up top off a screen. Mackenzie keeps defenders off balance by staring down the rim as she catches the ball. She paused, drove by, and dished an accurate kick-out pass to the perimeter for an assist. Mackenzie froze a defender with a shot-fake, drove by with a burst, and finished with an impressive high pick-up layup. She had a solid day at the Plymouth Summer League.

Mackenzie earned an All-Conference Honorable Mention nomination in 2023, but she appears ready for a breakout season in 2024. Mackenzie is a deadly 3-point shooter and she keeps herself squared to fire away at any time. Mackenzie finds open space off the ball, blows by defenders off the dribble, and muscles her way to rebounds. She works hard on the defensive end and I expect Mackenzie to be a top point guard in the league. I expect her to be an All-Conference level performer in 2024.
