About Mackenzie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm an aggressive guard who attacks the basket and looks to create open shots for my teammates. On defense, I use quick feet and active hands to force turnovers through steals and deflections. I play with high energy, stay coachable, and always put the team first.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a focused perfectionist who leads by example. Though introverted off the court, I'm vocal in games, always encouraging and lifting my teammates. I hold myself to a high standard and bring positive energy every time I play.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

- Junior National Honor Society (all 3 years in middle school) - Volunteer work (sorting donated items for orphanages): 20hrs/year 2021-2025 - Volunteer work at Kids Coming Together (making crafts for nursing homes, orphanages and Children's Hospital): 10hrs/year 2021-2025

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Coachability, work ethic, competitiveness, versatility, communication, community service/volunteer work, teamwork, leadership, mental toughness (through meditation, journaling & reflection) hardworking & disciplined

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As the youngest and newest player on a team playing up, I wasn’t trusted with the ball at first. I stayed focused, worked hard, and let my game speak. Within a month, I earned the starting point guard spot and proved age doesn’t define ability.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that will challenge me academically and help me grow as a basketball player on and off the court.

Mackenzie has been playing great during the AAU season with her new team, TruGame on the ADIDAS 3SSB circuit. Koh has a nice offensive game, being well rounded when scoring the ball. She mixes in deep shots nicely with getting downhill to the bucket, keeping defenders on their toes. She’s a player to continue to keep an eye on.

Koh is a well rounded guard who does all the little things very well. She is always making the extra pass to her open teammates, boxes out defenders, and dives for loose balls. She defends great, getting her hands in the passing lanes and staying in front of opposing players. She scores the ball smoothly and is most efficient when attacking down hill and getting to the bucket, but she can knock down deep shots.
