About MacKenzie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

High‑motor, physical forward with explosive multi‑sport athleticism. Impacts games through rebounding, defense, and effort plays, with the versatility to develop into a strong wing presence.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a competitive, physical player who works to use my God‑given abilities with purpose. I stay coachable, bring energy every possession, and try to lead by example as a varsity captain. My focus is on serving my team, staying steady, and competing the right way.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m involved in FCA, serve in my church’s youth group, and volunteer regularly. I’m also the Class of 2028 Vice President and was selected to attend the HOBY Leadership Conference this summer.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being a varsity captain and Class of 2028 VP has helped me learn how to lead with confidence and stay steady for my teammates. FCA and my church youth group have taught me how to serve others and use my gifts the right way. I’ve also learned how to communicate, work hard, and stay locked in when things get tough.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I haven’t had a major injury or anything like that, but I’ve had to learn how to balance school, sports, leadership, and my faith. Being a varsity captain as a sophomore pushed me to grow up fast and stay steady for my team. It’s taught me how to handle pressure, stay organized, and keep a positive mindset even when things get tough.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with strong academics and big opportunities both on the court and in track. I want a place where I can study sports administration or financial engineering and get real experience in the sports world. I’m open to being a dual‑sport athlete if it’s the right fit, and I want a school that helps me grow as a person and a competitor.
