Full Package 17U 3SSB was firing on cylinders at the Great Lakes Region Finals, finishing 2-1 with their only loss coming against the eventual Gold Bracket Champs in the semifinals. The team competed well, and Maddie played a huge role in the game. Her long arms, athletic stature, strength, poised ball handling, and comprehensive impact stand out as a high-level guard prospect. Maddie went up strong inside, jumping up to secure rebounds against long/athletic bigs on both ends of the court. She grabbed an offensive rebound, absorbed hard contact with her shoulder, then finished the layup with her left hand. Maddie escaped pressure, using both hands comfortably, and created multiple steals on the perimeter. She stole the ball away for a layup and pushed the ball with pace to score a breakaway bucket again after a swipe at half-court. Maddie made a contested catch to score a contested layup with strength off two feet and showed her perimeter range by draining a smooth straightaway three.

Locke already has the collegiate frame that gives her an advantage, especially with how well she handles physicality. The confidence stands out in the way she attacks possessions, and she has the ability to score from the paint all the way out to the arc. On the defensive end, that size makes a real impact. She can blow up passing lanes, make things tough on opposing guards, and is not easy to get around. Lengthy with a strong build, she has a lot of the traits colleges look for in a guard and wing.

Maddie sees everything! Beautiful passes! Loves to come from behind and block! She is so smooth, has so many ways to score the ball! But the way she distributes the rock and finds the cutter is textbook! Love her floaters in the paint!

All season, Maddie has been a spark for this program, showing up in big moments and making an impact when it is needed most. That confidence in her game has been consistent, and it was on full display in today’s game. Her offense played a key role for them, but she also made her presence felt on the boards, finding ways to impact the game in multiple areas when the moment called for it. |15 pts, 8 rebs, 2 stls

Locke is the kind of player who seems to improve every time she steps on the court. She’s gotten even stronger and more physical, and she knows how to use her body the right way-especially her box outs. She uses her physicality to grab rebounds and control the paint, and she’s able to finish around the rim, even in crowded spaces, with a smooth touch. What really sets Locke apart is her constant hustle and effort in every situation. No matter what’s happening in the game, she always gives her all, which is something you can’t teach—it’s just part of who she is. Ever since I first watched her play back in 6th grade, she’s had that drive, and she’s only going to keep getting better.

Locke has a natural rhythm and instinct in her game that sets her apart from others in her class, and this will only continue to grow. She was one of the standout players for her AAU team this year, and even during the high school live period, she put on a shooting clinic. Most of Loyola’s talent is young, so Locke should be taking on more of a leadership role this season. A big year is likely ahead for her.

Locke is another name that has been mentioned by coaches, especially after her past couple of performances at the high school live event. She’s a player who can blend in or stand out, which is hard to find in complementary players these days. She’s fundamentally sound and can score from each level if need be. A player that every program can benefit from.

A major standout in the game against Waubonsie. Locke plays at her own pace and doesn’t allow the game to speed her up. She has a nice form and can knock down the long ball if it’s open. Aggressive on the drive, and can male players happen around her. Tough player.
