About Emily
Expert Analysis
Byron Xerxes Livsey | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
The offers Naraky has been able to pull in show the level of player she can be. She is a wing who can stretch the floor with the best of them, but also move well and score off catches and slip screens. She is not too flashy or overly crafty, just a player who knows how to play the right way no matter who has the ball in their hands. She makes good decisions, does not stay in one spot for too long, and puts a good amount of pressure on the defense.

A very skilled player who can shoot, pass, and dribble. Faced a taller defender and showed her full offensive repertoire, including up-and-unders, step-throughs, step-backs, and left-hand finishes. Rebounded well, using quickness and positioning to compete on the glass. A player to continue monitoring as she heads into her senior year. Her versatility allows her to adapt to different matchups and still produce.

Standing at 6’2″, Naraky is a strong force on the basketball court. She has great fundamentals-something not seen in a lot of players and what college coaches want. In the paint, she’s tough—able to drive to the basket, fight for rebounds, and score even when being swarmed by defenders. She’s not just great inside; she can also shoot from behind the three-point line or finds the cutter or makes a great pass in transition. She can handle the ball so well for her height—she’s comfortable dribbling, bringing the ball up the floor, and making plays for herself and her teammates. Her mix of size, skills, and basketball smarts has her teed up for a huge year.

Naraky has what you’re looking for out of a stretch forward, and especially at the next level. She’s not a player who does more than is required, and she does her job with efficiency. Most of that comes from beyond the arc, and when you’re looking for time at the next level, that’s a main thing that coaches won’t budge on, which Emily does with the best of them in this class. The upside is there, and Naraky will be a solid piece for a D1 program.

Naraky has had a strong month so far, and getting a shot to compete with some of the best in the country allowed her to see the different types of players out there. What she brings to the table is a hell of a work ethic and a mindset of just getting better every day. This has got her attention from a decent amount of programs at the D1 level, and I’m sure more offers will follow as the second half of AAU ball comes up. The skill is there, and so is the potential.

As the 6th player this year for Loyola, she has delivered impressive performances throughout the year. She stands out as one of only two players on the team to score in double digits in both games at State. Her physical presence and her keen ability to understand and coordinate with her point guards is a gift that will keep giving.

Hustle and energy aren’t skills; they’re a mindset, and Naraky shows that on both sides of the floor. She’s active on the boards, active in transition, and moves well with the ball in her hand. Her IQ and length allow her to play multiple positions. Such a high ceiling.
