Madeleine had a strong showing at the ZG Fall Tip Off this past weekend. She made an impact defensively with full-court pressure, creating steals that led to easy transition opportunities. Madeleine also shot the ball well from three-point range and consistently found ways to get easy baskets on the break.

It could be argued Marques could be a top 100 player in the class. Her development has been pleasing to watch, especially with how much of a utilitarian threat she is now. In the past, she flashed 3&D wing traits, but Madeleine is so much more. Marques’ profile becomes even more intriguing when realizing she can provide timely post protection, take players out of their rhythm on the perimeter, plus provide ideal help-side defense. Madeleine also looks even more comfortable in complementary scoring roles. This is a certain watch-lister in ’28.

Madeleine’s progression in her development is enough to rave about here. She’s come a long way in a short time, taking advantage of the offseason work and her confidence is at an all-time high too. The outside shot, willingness to rebound plus secondary creation skills are all major improvements.

Marques has made great strides as a playmaker for others. She’s a reliable spot up shooter plus an even better relocator that spreads the floor out well. Madeleine looked promising in a more assertive role and AAU hoops will provide her with the ideal reps for even further growth.

Madeleine impacts the game on both ends with her defensive presence and perimeter shooting ability. She protects the paint well, blocking shots and making opponents think twice before attacking the rim. Offensively, she is a strong shooter from the wings, consistently knocking down catch-and-shoot threes even with defenders closing out hard. She also shows good vision when driving into the paint, kicking the ball out to open teammates once the defense collapses on her.

Madeleine is developing very nicely overall. She’s becoming a more polished finisher and its evident at first glance that she plays with a lot more confidence now. The Breakers are going to lean on the ’28 combo guard in their toughest matchups.

Madeleine is likely to move up the ranks by the next update due to her notable performances this season. Marques’ latest game was highlighted by 17 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast plus 3 stl. The sophomore is looking much more secure making things happen on the court.

Madeleine is a rising star in the making with the capacity to raise her level of play to another level. She has an unrevealed game that worked harmoniously with her teammates. The long and agile Marques has a frame that allow her to play multiple positions. She was able to find her rhythm at the showcase no matter where she was placed. Most of the plays Marques was involved with lead to winning plays. She was able to show some area of facilitation skills at times, but when she slid to an off-ball position, she remained a constant threat on the floor. She has a beautiful smooth and fast follow-through that was a pleasure to witness. Minimal time was needed for her to gather herself after the ball was kicked out to her. What advances Madeleine as a shooter is her propensity to do the early work before the ball arrives. Her hands are ready in her shot-pocket and she walks into her steps, finding the proper tempo comfortably. With her switchability on the defensive end, plus her prowess to disrupt passing lanes, Marques has a high celling. She may have been overlooked in the past, but after a good showing, it warranted recognition.
